E-Ticket
E-Ticket (electronic ticket, ET) represents all the data related to the passenger's flight itinerary, fare, class, payment and taxes etc.
E-tickets exist only in an airline's computer system so travellers cannot lose or forget them - they cannot be stolen. As there is no paperwork, tickets can be booked, paid for, cancelled or altered at any time from anywhere.
Though IATA has set an end 2007 deadline for paper tickets to finish, sometimes travellers do need a printed ET as a representation of a purchase (also works in case of refund or exchange) and as a document proving the flight itinerary, for example, when switch to another airlineis needed.
As soon as flight booking information is transferred in Travelwise database (details: ), the program allows to preview, print and email E-Ticket to the customer or any party. Once the ET is e-mailed, it becomes attached to the Travelwise Order.
